In the Washington DC metropolitan area, NCTA offers the Government Cloud Computing Focus Module.
This module consists of two(2) 8-Hour Saturday sessions focusing on:
 Government Cloud Computing Policy
 Governance & Procurement
 Cloud Security
Areas covered include the Federal Cloud Computing Initiative, NIST US Government Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap and the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.
This approach uses a "do once, use many times" framework that will save cost, time, and staff required to conduct redundant agency security assessments.
This module will also address Federal Information Technology Reform and the Federal CIO's "Cloud First" and "Share First" policies.
Students taking this module will also gain insight into required security control points, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance and the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) Authority To Operate (ATO) process.
Prerequisite for the Government Cloud Computing Focus Module is the CloudMASTER Certification.
Government Cloud Computing Focus Module Fee: $900.00 USD
