The National Cloud Technologists Association (NCTA) was created to provide a professional level credential to IT professionals seeking to establish themselves in the rapidly expanding cloud computing environment.
In partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, NCTA is proud to announce the launch of the CloudMASTER and CloudGURU Certificate programs. These designations were designed to help professionals interested in administration, management and maintenance of cloud operations meet the increasing demand for experienced personnel.
�Cloud computing is a revolutionary force,� says Phillip J. Bond, President and CEO of TechAmerica, the IT industry�s leading trade association, �first, because it gives organizations a path to greater efficiency, cost-effectiveness and agility, but ultimately because it means greater empowerment for almost everyone within the organization.�
In fact, in their June, 2011 edition, InfoWorld magazine ranks Cloud Architect as among �The 6 Hottest Jobs in IT�. �There�s so much positive momentum toward cloud integration, says Ron Giula, CEO of Tenable Network Security. �People who can really identify the architecture from a simplicity point of view are going to be in great demand.�
As the cloud offers organizations, both in private enterprise and government, a means to increased productivity and flexibility, a compelling case for transforming business units to the cloud exists. It is a means of enabling seamless interactions among different groups of employees, consultants, and partners both inside and outside the corporate firewall.
It�s already a valuable and incredibly important piece of the business model for small and midsized companies that don�t have the resources to create their own platforms. Ultimately large scale migration to the cloud means greater empowerment for almost everyone within an organization. The result will be flatter organizational structures and significant enhancement to people�s ability to solve problems and coordinate activities.
Douglas Neal, research fellow at CSC�s Leading Edge Forum, and a widely published scholar of the cloud phenomenon states it most directly: �The cloud�s potential to better integrate business and technology will reshape the entire economy along with the strategies, structures, and cultures of individual firms.�
